Worship Interrupted
It all boils down to keeping a “God view” on our daily activities and responding to every interaction with a consciousness that God is always there with us. It will change the way we think and do things, and it will bring blessings into our lives.
A Beautiful Thing Happened On the Way to the Benediction
Sometimes we are so caught up in worldly things that we just can’t see the beautiful thing God is doing in the midst of it. Today I witnessed one of these beautiful moments when everything came together with perfection only God can offer, but even in the midst of it, the enemy was doing his best to beat those being blessed down and cause them to miss their blessing.
And the Light Shines in the Darkness…
This was not the rabbit hole I had imagined myself jumping into when I began this journey, but God’s path for me is rarely anything like what I am expecting. With that in mind, it was time to revisit John 1 verses 1-5 with a fresh perspective. This time I went to my AENT (Aramaic to English New Testament translation), as I often do when I feel I am getting closer but can’t quite reach it, hoping to acquire a deeper understanding of the intamcy between God and Jesus in the act of creation.
A Lucrative Investment
When we speak of spiritual investment, everything becomes a bit less tangible, and difficult if not impossible to measure. What would the ROI of a lucrative investment spiritually look like? How high is the risk and how great the potential return, and what is the risk of making no investment at all?
The First Blood Sacrifice
And so God’s chosen people began their epic journey through history. If they would not make the correct choices to be an example to the rest of the world of how blessed they were living under God’s love and protection, by loving Him with all their hearts, their minds and their strength, and loving their neighbors as they loved themselves, then God would accomplish His purpose through and for them in another way.
Give Generously, It Matters
I think we can all agree that God deserves our first fruits, but if we are anything like the “average church goers” in the US, most of us fall short of the biblical tithe by 6% to 7%. What would we actually have to give up, to give 1%, 2%, or 3% more? Considering all that God has given us, would it really be that tough for us to find say $15 a week more for Him?
Define Better
What is a Christian?
God created the world with such abundance there is enough for everyone to have it all, but the stewards entrusted with the greatest abundance seem to have a problem with distributing that wealth and investing it in the children of God who were unfortunately born into a less fortunate circumstance.
Resolving to Pursue a Clean Heart
The human condition is a reflection of the great fall from grace in the Garden of Eden. Ever since that ancient example was set, all of mankind has shared the same experience in life from birth to physical death, physically, mentally, and spiritually, we fall down, we get up.
Serve One Another
Even those with the least of worldly possessions can have a dramatic and positive impact on the life of someone else. When we walk this earth with a single purpose at our core, to serve on another, our words and actions can reach far beyond our small circle of influence, allowing the love of God to be seen, felt, and heard.
