I went to a birthday party tonight. Not just any birthday party, it was a 90th birthday party. Reta, a gal from my church, has seen the price of a loaf of bread and a gallon of gas go from ten cents to over three dollars. Her children threw her not just a party, but a tribute to the love of their mother. There were four generations in attendance from all over the country and all of the family members took part.
The highlight of the evening was the puppet show. Reta’s daughter, Becky, leads a ministry team called Puppets For Christ. The title of this post came straight from their mission statement. This award winning puppet team performs all over the Tampa Bay area and beyond, entertaining in churches, shelters, and elder care facilities, and secular competitions, spreading the word of God and the good news of Jesus wherever they go, with much joy and delight.
They do both white light and black light performances, the black light being the more dramatic. I was so delighted by the performance I saw tonight that I just had to share. I have linked to their website above so you can check the schedule and see when they will be near you, or maybe even invite them to your event. For now enjoy the clip, it shows just a touch of what this ministry is really all about.

If only we could be so fortunate to live a long full life.I once met a 106 year old woman. She was so full of life and energy you wouldn’t have know exactly how old she was unless you asked.
Interesting post – I will be lucky to get to 90 but yet we all can think back to what has happened since we were born – for me one of those was life before computers OHHHHHHHHH MYYYYYYYY lololololol
What a special celebration for this dear lady. I wish all families treated their senior citizens with this much Love and Adoration. Thanks for sharing this wonderful story with us Lynn.
