<\/a><\/h3>\nJust in case you have been reading my posts for a while and have primarily been exposed to my “spiritual side”, I feel that I should preface this post by confessing that marketing is my profession.That being said, I have come to understand that I am on a spiritual journey seeking wisdom and understanding, and must be able to define the keys to my success, both material and spiritual, from that spiritual vantage point. <\/p>\n
You may want to read that over a few times until it sinks in.\u00a0\u00a0 In many ways it appears to be a paradox, and frankly, I had to re-write it several times before it captured what I really wanted to convey.\u00a0 I am on a spiritual journey seeking wisdom and understanding, and must be able to define the keys to my success, both material and spiritual, from that spiritual vantage point.<\/p>\n
My goal is to acquire and share the wisdom that will carry me, and everyone who will go with me, to a life of abundance for body, mind, and spirit, victorious over an uncertain future that looms large and foreboding.<\/p>\n
We humans often have lofty goals and we naturally desire success.\u00a0 It may seem at first like you can’t get there from here, but the only <\/span>place you can start, is where you are, having faith in your mission.\u00a0 We do not always know what to do to achieve that success, and can easily get bogged down with planning and projecting, hemming and hawing, wondering and worrying, anything and everything except taking that first step.<\/p>\n Sometimes all we can see is the mountain, when the summit is truly the goal.\u00a0 What I have learned through marketing, is that the summit is reached when we scale the mountain a few steps at a time, recognizing the benchmarks, and celebrating the small victories.<\/p>\n So what are some of these small victories?\u00a0 What are the things we may be forgetting to celebrate and be thankful for when they happen?<\/h3>\n That vision of the summit… the destination… the goal, is the spiritual force, the faith, “the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.” Hebrews\u00a0 11:1<\/p>\n Yes, small victories matter! They matter in business, they matter in child rearing, they matter in ministry and they matter in life! They matter because if I do the small things, God can and will do the big things!<\/h3>\n\n
Finding the right person to talk to – Victory!<\/h3>\n<\/li>\n
Turning someone’s frown into a smile – Victory!<\/h3>\n<\/li>\n
A new referral – Victory!<\/h3>\n<\/li>\n
A fresh idea – Victory!<\/h3>\n<\/li>\n
A thought provoking question – Victory!<\/h3>\n<\/li>\n
Reconnecting with an old friend – Victory!<\/h3>\n<\/li>\n
Solving a problem – Victory!<\/h3>\n<\/li>\n
A mentor offering new perspective – Victory!<\/h3>\n<\/li>\n
A partner, family member, or co-workers accomplishment –\u00a0 Victory!<\/h3>\n<\/li>\n
A child willing to go to bed on time – Victory!<\/h3>\n<\/li>\n
A thank you – Victory!<\/h3>\n<\/li>\n
An inch or a pound lost – Victory!<\/h3>\n<\/li>\n
Learning something new – Victory!<\/h3>\n<\/li>\n
A moment of rest and reflection – Victory!<\/h3>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
Yes, small victories matter!\u00a0 Every victory along the way contributes to success in the end, and if I am taking the small steps I need to every day, even when all I can see is the mountain, I know that those small victories will carry me to the summit. <\/p>\n
