He approached the Ancient of Days and was led into his presence.\u00a0 He was given authority, glory and sovereign power; all nations and peoples of every language worshiped him. His dominion is an everlasting dominion that will not pass away, and his kingdom is one that will never be destroyed.\u201d<\/h4>\n<h5><\/br><\/h5>\n<h4 style=\"text-align: justify;\">Daniel 7:15-18 \u201cI, Daniel, was troubled in spirit, and the visions that passed through my mind disturbed me.\u00a0 I approached one of those standing there and asked him the meaning of all this.\u00a0 \u201cSo he told me and gave me the interpretation of these things: \u2018The four great beasts are four kings that will rise from the earth. But the holy people of the Most High will receive the kingdom and will possess it forever\u2014yes, for ever and ever.\u2019\u201d<\/h4>\n<\/blockquote>\n<h4 style=\"text-align: justify;\">So, my bible clearly says the \u201choly people of the Most High\u201d are who the imagery of \u201cone like the son of man\u201d who received the kingdom is referring to.\u00a0 In the previous article I wrote, I conceded that as much as I would like to accept the interpretation that Daniel, like a fly on the wall, was witnessing Jesus returning to heaven and being rewarded for a job well done, the citizen of heaven that answers Daniel\u2019s question as to \u201cthe meaning of all this\u201d is quite clear that it represents \u201cthe holy people of the Most High\u201d.<\/h4>\n<h1 style=\"text-align: center;\">&#8220;one like the son of man&#8221;<\/h1>\n<h5><\/br><\/h5>\n<h4 style=\"text-align: justify;\">In The Revelation we see the same phrase, but here it is clearly representing none other than Jesus.\u00a0 First, we have the name of the book itself, The Revelation of (and from) Jesus Christ, in which Jesus reveals or unveils Himself to John.\u00a0 This entire book is first and foremost all about Jesus.<\/h4>\n<blockquote>\n<h4 style=\"text-align: justify;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\" wp-image-3365 alignright\" style=\"margin: 4px 8px;\" title=\"Son of Man\" alt=\"Son of Man\" src=\"https:\/\/onemonthofwisdom.com\/wisdomblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/02\/499px-BambergApocalypseFolio003rAngelWith7Candlesticks-253x300.jpg\" width=\"228\" height=\"270\" srcset=\"https:\/\/onemonthofwisdom.com\/wisdomblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/02\/499px-BambergApocalypseFolio003rAngelWith7Candlesticks-253x300.jpg 253w, https:\/\/onemonthofwisdom.com\/wisdomblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/02\/499px-BambergApocalypseFolio003rAngelWith7Candlesticks.jpg 509w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 228px) 100vw, 228px\" \/>Revelation 1:12-13 \u201cI turned around to see the voice that was speaking to me. And when I turned I saw seven golden lampstands, and among the lampstands was one like a son of man dressed in a robe reaching down to his feet and with a golden sash around his chest.\u201d<\/h4>\n<\/blockquote>\n<h4 style=\"text-align: justify;\">Over and over in The Revelation we are offered images and descriptions of the Risen Jesus in all of His Glory \u2013 this cannot be confused with the \u201choly people of the Most High\u201d,\u00a0 so why in two such parallel visions do we have such opposite conclusions to the meaning of \u201cone like the son of man\u201d?\u00a0 This was the conflict I was wrestling with and determined to reconcile, and finally, after much prayer and reflection the answer came.<\/h4>\n<h5><\/br><\/h5>\n<h4 style=\"text-align: justify;\">It came when I least expected it!\u00a0 While I was watching a national news broadcast, Charles Krauthammer commented on what the founding fathers intended our elected officials to do \u2013 represent us.\u00a0 He expounded some on what it means to represent, and suddenly I connected the dots.\u00a0 According to the dictionary:<\/h4>\n<blockquote>\n<h4 style=\"text-align: justify;\">re-pre\u2022sent<br \/>\n1. to serve to express, designate, stand for, or denote, as a word, symbol, or the like does; symbolize.<br \/>\n2. to express or designate by some term, character, symbol; to represent musical sounds by notes.<br \/>\n3. to stand or act in the place of, as a substitute, proxy, or agent does.<br \/>\n4. to speak and act for by delegated authority: to represent one&#8217;s government in a foreign country.<br \/>\n5. to act for or in behalf of by deputed right in exercising a voice in legislation or government.<\/h4>\n<\/blockquote>\n<h2 style=\"text-align: center;\">\u201cone like the son of man\u201d<\/h2>\n<h5><\/br><\/h5>\n<h4 style=\"text-align: justify;\">In Daniel it refers to \u201cthe holy people of the Most High\u201d who are represented in every sense of the word &#8211; symbolically, spiritually, and most importantly, before God as faultless &#8211; by Jesus Christ.\u00a0 That is how they became holy people!\u00a0 In Daniel, we don\u2019t know Him yet, but He represents us none the less.\u00a0 In The Revelation, we recognize Him, and know that we belong to Him.<\/h4>\n<h5><\/br><\/h5>\n<h4 style=\"text-align: justify;\">So how cool is that?\u00a0 What I had been struggling to reconcile was reconciliation itself.\u00a0 Another facet of the person of Jesus has been revealed!<\/h4>\n<h5><\/br><\/h5>\n<h4>Blessings &amp; Adventure,<\/h4>\n<h5><\/br><\/h5>\n<h4>Lynn \u201clynnibug\u201d Rios<\/h4>\n<h5><\/br><\/h5>\n<h4><\/h4>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The parallel imagery we find in Daniel and The Revelation are striking, but there has been one phrase troubling me for months as I completed a study of Daniel, then another in The Revelation.
