Love – the #1 thing defined…
I would offer that the word love is not a verb, it is a noun. It is not a thing you do. It is the light that you are made of and what you were created to be.
The world we live in is a difficult place to stay connected to love, and so we adapt to survive in it, or so our mind tells us. But in fact, the more we adapt, the more we disconnect from our true selves, and begin to live in a false reality shaped by fear and hostility. The more disconnected we become, the more we lose touch with the reality of what we truly are.
This is what Jesus came to teach us. The promise of eternal life is grounded in removing that which is of the world (anti Christ) from our core, and allowing the love which is our true self (the mind of Christ) to be conscious, active, and ever present. It is in this state of being that we are able
to know and walk with God.
A labor of love…
It is with this in mind that I was inspired to this project, one month of wisdom, 31 days of scriptures from the book of Proverbs, delivered to you with insightful commentary on application of the daily verses to your personal, spiritual and professional life.
The first 9 chapters of the book of Proverbs is a collection of wise King Solomon’s advice to his own sons. I limited myself to simple commentary on the text through these chapters. Beginning with chapter 10, the bible text is a collection of wise sayings and metaphors. It was in these pages that I began to include various media, some contemporary Christian and some secular, that give life and context to the highlighted proverbs on each page.
A companion blog was created to serve as a place for you to share your thoughts, and the insights revealed to you on your personal wisdom journey. It has been a labor of love and passion for me to create One Month of Wisdom, and I pray that you are as blessed by your journey through it, as I was by its creation.
Blessings & Adventure,

My heartfelt thanks to those who prayed for me throughout this project. The darts of the enemy were frequent and precise, but according to your prayers, the word of God prevailed, hallelujah!

And an extra special thanks to Linda M. Davis and Tammie Jo Perry! My desire for this project was that it should be a perfect sacrifice to the Lord, without blemish. Without their sharp and thorough proofreading skills, I would certainly have fallen far short of that mark.
